We Can Do It! poster by J. Howard Miller. During World War II, the War Department circulated posters like this one to encourage women to fill war factory jobs. Inspired by the popular song, “Rosie the Riveter” by Kay Kyser, the image of “Rosie” became a patriotic symbol of working women.
